Why should you learn Tadabbur Sunnah? The revelation could be Quran or Sunnah. We are required to learn and reflect on both of them.

We all know that DHIKR (remembrance of Allah) is the fortress of the Muslim and it should be by heart, tongue, and limbs.

You remember Allah (SWT) by heart by being conscious of Him all the time, even if you are in the bathroom, so you can’t disobey Him at all.

You remember Allah (SWT) by tongue by mentioning His name, glorifying Him, praising Him, Magnifying Him, and by saying the Dhikr in morning and evening, before and after eating and drinking, entering and leaving home and so on and so forth. You remember Allah by tongue with a present heart, conscious of Him, knowing the meanings of what you are saying by tongue and reflecting to them. Therefore, the Dhikr and Du’aa will be effective and Allah will protect you from all evils in Dunya and Deen in sha’a Allah.

You remember Allah (SWT) by your limbs as well. Therefore, your prayer is a remembrance of Allah. Allah (SWT) said: “and establish prayer for My remembrance.” [20:14]

You prayed in order to remember Allah and you remembered Allah, so you prayed. Any act of worship is a Dhikr of Allah (SWT).

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The example of the one who celebrates the Praises of his Lord (Allah) in comparison to the one who does not celebrate the Praises of his Lord, is that of a living creature compared to a dead one.”

The Dhikr of Allah (SWT) is the difference between the living creature and the dead one, so we should be keen to remember Allah in all times and to reflect on the remembrance on order to be by heart, tongue, and limbs.

Hence, we should dedicate times also to reflecting on Sunnah as we should to Quran. The first and most important Dhikr we should start with is the Dhikr of Salah.

Salah is our connection with the heaven where we belong and will return to. Salah is our most special time we spend with our Creator and our Master and it is a conversation with Him. Our souls should leave Earth and fly in the sky happily as it feels so connected to Allah (SWT).

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “O Bilal, call iqamah for prayer: give us comfort by it.”

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “my comfort has been provided in prayer.'”

How can you feel this connection, happiness, and comfort without knowing the profound meanings of each Dhikr in Salah!

How can you establish your prayer and reach Khushoo’ “humbleness and submission” without learning the Dhikr at the start of Salah, in Rukoo’, in Sujood, in Tashahhud, after Tashahhud, after Tasleem, etc!

How can you focus on cleansing and purifying yourself from your sins before Salah as you focus on purifying yourself by ablution without learning the meanings of the ablution’s Dhikrs!

How can you praise Allah without knowing the meanings of Al-Hamd!

How can you make Tasbeeh of Allah (glorifying Him and declaring that He is above all imperfections) without knowing the meanings of Tasbeeh! How can you enjoy sharing the birds, the trees, and all creation without learning about it!

How can you change by your Salah and after it and find its effect in your conduct, behaviour, and personality “Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing” without reflecting on the meanings of Takbeer and on each word uttered in it!

Hence, Noor AlQuran Academy offers this course of “Tadabbur Sunnah” to reflect on the meanings of Salah in order to establish it to be from the Successful.
